N2 Extreme Gelato

NOW I am in my element. And that pun was totally intended.

One of my favourite things about Melbourne is the food culture. Granted, this place does have its roots in Sydney, but I think its made itself quite at home along the trendy Brunswick Street in Fitzroy and fits in quite well the whole scene as a sort of "hipster" ice-creamery/gelateria.

What do I mean? Well, just have a look at the carefully selected menu for the week.

In keeping in line with the whole quirky and alternative image, the gelartists use liquid nitrogen to make a perfectly creamy smooth gelato right before your very eyes!

The menu changes on a weekly basis (every Thursday night to be exact!) so you can expect the unexpected, from a more general fruity sorbet to perhaps something less familiar like a savoury, spam and cheese concoction if you're brave enough to try it!

(clockwise starting from the far left: Creme Brulee, Black Lava Salted Caramel, Salty C---, Lychee Ma Rose)
There really isn't much more I can say, for the pictures speak for themselves. Yes, the flavours taste just as good as they sound. But be warned: consumption may result in a sugar coma.
